If you've ever changed the starter on a 3.8 Genesis Coupe, you already know the headache — the OEM setup requires pulling the engine mount just to get to it. The MTM Hassle Free Starter is a direct bolt-on that eliminates the engine mount removal completely. No extra steps, no fighting the car — just swap it in and you're done. Built to last and designed specifically for the 3.8, this is the one you put in and never think about again. REQUIREMENT: You will need to cut off your existing starter solenoid pigtail and connect the new starter solenoid pigtail for the new starter. This allows for easier access to a replacement pigtail if ever needed, much cheaper and readily available. Note: If you are using a BK2 clutch kit (2013-2016) on your BK1 (2010-2012) then you can use this starter as it's specifically designed for the BK2 ring gear setup.
